Bernadette Furlong

Music Director

Bernadette (Mrs. Furlong) has a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Theatre from Rider University. She is a kindergarten paraprofessional at Toll Gate Elementary School.  Bernadette co-founded HVCT in 1999, with the goal of filling the gap of musical theatre education for children in primary grades. She loves working with HVCT children primarily because of the joy, talent, and enthusiasm they bring to both rehearsals and the final production. Year after year, she is amazed by the quality of the final productions.

Ryan Smith

Ryan (Mr. Smith) has a Master's Degree in Education from The College of New Jersey and a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Production and Mass Media Communications from The University of Delaware. He is a third grade teacher in the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District.  Ryan started with HVCT during their first season as their technical director and photographer before eventually becoming one of their show directors. As someone who performed in plays during each level of his schooling, Ryan enjoys being able to pass on and help foster the love of theatre and performing to kids of all ages.

Andy Parsons

Set Designer & Builder

Andy (Mr. Parsons) is a career graphic designer who discovered the joy of theater in 2014, when he began working with youth companies. His children are longtime performers in HVCT, and their great experiences motivated him to get involved with the theatre.  Andy works closely with the technical theater program at HVCHS to produce sets and graphics for several shows a year, and enjoys teaching design and building techniques to local youth. He looks forward each and every year to seeing HVCT kids evolve and grow their performing and technical theater talents.

Vicki Krampf

Costumer Designer

Vicki (Mrs. Krampf) has a Bachelor of Music from St. Andrews University and furthered her studies in acting in London and NYC. Her performance career has taken her to 38 states as well as Canada; touring with a national repertory company, TV, outdoor drama and summer stock. Her love of design was honed while working at Marisa Christina staging trunk shows and fashion shows across the country. Currently she is a kindergarten paraprofessional at Bear Tavern Elementary School. For 15 years, HVCT has perfectly entwined Vicki's passion for musical theatre, costume design and most importantly, for teaching young people to believe in themselves and the magic of the theatre.

Jessica Eng

Jessica (Miss Jess) has a Master's Degree in Education from New York University. She is a 6th grade teacher at the Salk School of Science in NYC. She's been teaching dance since 2009 at HVCT, along with several years of teaching tap and jazz/hip hop at Pennington Dance. She's also an RYT 200 hour certified yoga instructor and currently teaches yoga at Asana Soul Practice in Hoboken and Jersey City. Jess loves seeing the confidence in her students grow as they learn and perform dance numbers in HVCT productions (and hopefully have some fun doing it!).
